D’moroy is a brand of woven handicraft business with Jambi local content. This business is engaged in producing woven crafts with natural fiber raw materials in Jambi province. It was started in 2018 by only carrying out the creative idea on woven products to be applied in the real process until at the end of 2018 Deny Moroyati as the owner of the d’moroy brand, decided to focus developing on woven crafts business based on local content and Jambi’s cultural heritage, by learning Jambi weaving techniques and other techniques from different cities. Starting the licensing process on November 18th, 2019 with a micro and small business license in South Jambi District, Jambi City. Then on February 2nd, 2021 the permit was revised to become an integrated business license, the OSS institution with the NIB.

d’moroy handicraft is located in Sukorejo, Thehok Village, South Jambi District, Jambi City. The establishment of this business originated from
me as the owner d’moroy where I have a deep love for ethnic and unique goods, and I am aware that there are many potential woven raw materials in Jambi that can be processed further. By the time, it is not only about a hobby or a passion but d’moroy’s owner start to develop woven handicraft products into business value that has the potential to empower local people. Currently, d’moroy products are still limited to fashion products (woven bags). But we are still working to produce and develop other forms that are not only for households needs but also for business premises, such as hotels and restaurants. d’moroy products always prioritize the neatness, beauty and proportional design. On the other hand, d’moroy products are very environmentally friendly, made from natural fibers and finished using environmentally friendly liquids and without synthetic dyes.

In developing a business, d’moroy involves many people in other words empowering housewives.
By how to train housewives in weaving techniques for the future, these women will become d’moroy production partners.
